Foxgloves of Witless Bay by Chelsea Allen
This pair of oil paintings was created on canvas from numerous photographs taken while hiking a section of the East Coast Trail in Witless Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.
In folklore, it was said that picking a Foxglove would offend the fairies. It was likely told to children as a deterrent from picking these beautiful flowers, as they are toxic, yet oh so beautiful.
